It's the lyrics Ola sent us, so it's definitely what he remembers singing.

What an interesting comment. I confess, I had to look up the word 'turgid.' Had never seen that word in use before. I can honestly say, that's me singing. What's interesting is that I wrote the song 40+ years ago; same time period as I wrote the lyrics and melodies LEGEND played in our catalog; which was broader than the album's starter material. We had lot's of stuff written. We chose the songs for the album as a somewhat, opening statement of stuff we were into. 'Gideon' came from the same source, as it were, save for the biblical input on the lyrics. And I do think Martin and Janne did a splendid job throughout the revisitation of the other songs. Martin really "channeled" Kevin's vibe. I believe he'd be pleased with the results. He remains a great influence on us.

Must say that it's very brave and risky to release this song in nowadays when Israel is been condemned for the genocide in Palestine. I know is not the meaning of the song but it could be easily turned into an anthem for the sionist cause. Just saying... Anyway, the song is really epic. Like it from the first hearing. @@C_L_Mena As the one who wrote the song and lyrics 40 years ago, I can, at least attest to the non-related matter of current events. I just wrote a song about Gideon and other biblical characters, after I became a Christian. That said, as a Bible believer, unlike some, I have no particular affinity for the modern state of Israel. Nor do I support Hamas. As an American, I wish we'd just stay out of it. It's a matter that has gone on for thousands of years and is unlikely to end in my lifetime, unless the Lord returns and calls it a day on the whole earthly mess. So, if anyone links this song to ANYTHING related to things happening today, they are MISUSING the song. Thinks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. I thought this might arise sooner or later. I'll nip it in the bud now.
